We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trusts & Foundations Manager to join our team at Canterbury Oast Trust.
Canterbury Oast Trust is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism in Kent. We offer a person-centred approach through accommodation, support and training options including through our tourist attraction, the Rare Breeds Centre.
This newly created role will provide exceptional relationship management to our current portfolio of funders, donors and supporters, while actively seeking to diversify and expand our income by building relationships with trusts, foundations and statutory funders.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping Canterbury Oast Trust meet its strategic objectives by developing a sustainable and ambitious fundraising program to support our core initiatives in adult social care and our tourist attraction.
This role requires you to have strong relationship-management skills and a creative approach to fundraising with high integrity and attention to detail. Significant experience securing funds from trusts, foundations, grants, corporate and/or donors is essential.

.About the role – what you will be doing Develop and maintain a thorough ‘local knowledge’ across London boroughs and their services and youth sector, particularly in respect of young people experiencing crime. Design, deliver and evaluate workshops to trusted adults, including parents, teachers, caregivers, community/religious leaders, community members and youth professionals, with a focus on building their knowledge and skills in providing tools to refer young people who are experiencing being victim of crime to anonymous support services. Design workshop content and materials that are informative, interactive, and engaging, incorporating a range of therapeutic techniques and approaches to recover from the trauma of witnessing or being a victim of crime Provide practical strategies and tools that trusted adults can apply in their interactions with children and young people to promote their emotional well-being. Develop and delivery training that raises the standards of work with young people for youth workers across our membership.

About you – what you bring to the role Demonstrate excellent skills and knowledge in facilitation; proven experience in designing and delivering high quality training Ability to design and deliver workshops adapting to a variety of audiences Experience of working in community youth work settings and/or therapeutic spaces with young people. Ability to plan and manage a busy and complex work programme, prioritise tasks and deliver results on time. Job Summary
The purpose of the PA role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Archdeacon of Northolt in the Willesden area, ensuring efficient handling of communications, management of her diary, and maintenance of records. This includes coordinating travel arrangements, organising meetings, compiling communications materials, and managing various financial tasks. Additionally, the PA plays a vital role in upholding confidentiality, being a source of support in the making of difficult decisions and assisting with safeguarding. The PA carries a vital role in linking Clergy, Church Wardens, and others to the support available to them in the Diocesan office and helping them feel supported and heard when they contact the Archdeacons office for help.
The Willesden Area Administrator is a member of the Area staff responsible for the efficient and effective running of the office. (s)he has strong links to the Bishops office, other members of the Archdeaconry Team, the Area Director of Ministry and his PA, other Area Staff, people in the parishes especially Church Wardens and church administrators, as well as key external stakeholders such as local authorities, businesses, architects and partner organisations.

We are looking for a new member of the team to lead our approach to reporting to our funders and monitoring and evaluating the impact of our portfolio of activities.
The Role
This is a new, but vital role with two major components. First, this role will lead on reporting to the Academy’s primary funders, in particular the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
This will require gathering an overview of a very wide range of Academy activity and summarising it concisely in a way that reinforces our strong, trusted relationships with our funders.
Second, the role will lead on our culture of continuous improvement in monitoring and evaluation across the Academy, such that data and insight is used both to improve particular activities and to evolve our portfolio for greatest distinctive impact. Field Studies Council Castle Head is located in south Cumbria between the coast of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District National Park. The centre is set in 30 acres of grounds with a diversity of habitats including woodland, grassland and freshwater.
With over 150 beds, 5 workrooms, a meeting room to seat up to 120 and a sports hall we cater for most group needs and deliver a wide range of programmes in field studies and adventurous activities.

About our Independent Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children Support Service
The focus of the Service is to offer advice and support to separated children, particularly around their asylum application, and to signpost and refer children to statutory and voluntary agencies, working with local authorities to ensure that appropriate services are provided. This service is contracted by the Home Office.
Your Main Duties and Responsibilities
We support separated children across England and part of our service is a team of staff based at the port of Dover, working 24/7 to provide a temporary safeguarding service for children arriving there, ensuring that their basic needs are met while they await transfer to the care of a local authority. The unit is reactive to the needs of clients, who may arrive at any time, and staff are expected to cover a variety of shifts.
You will be expected to:
- Work in the best interests of the child.
- Assess the basic needs of newly arrived clients and provide an appropriate service, including food, clothing, and access to hygiene facilities.
- Recognise indicators of confusion or distress, and respond according to the needs of the situation.

About the Organisation
Bretforton Grange & Theatrebarn is a registered charity (charity number 510625) seeking to enrich and preserve culture, heritage and creativity. The Estate consists of a Grade II* listed monastic Grange (currently uninhabitable), a medieval tithe barn theatre with 178 seats, a restaurant and kitchen that can accommodate the same number, a walk-in dovecot, and various Grounds. Together, these spaces present limitless possibilities for servicing the needs of the local community, the creative freelance community, and for the development of theatre and performance.
The Grange was originally constructed as a communal living space for the monks of Evesham Abbey. Two unique spaces, a beamed hall in the attic and a stone undercroft were ideally suited to this purpose and have made the building attractive and adaptable to other uses, including the vision of the Charity. We intend to return the Grange to its original function as a communal living space for eight individuals to live and work together, harnessing the intrinsic flexibility and seclusion of the building for the testing and development of new work. The Charity has appointed Tuckey Design Studio as the conservation architects for this project.
Theatrebarn, which was converted from a medieval tithe barn, grew from the passions of the most recent inhabitants of the Grange in the early 1980s. Previously used as an entertainment venue by personal invitation only, the Charity is committed to opening the venue up for the creative enjoyment of everyone as well as being used to create and develop work in.
Currently, the team consists of specialist freelancers, led by Executive Director Dafydd Rogers, and a Board of Trustees.
Bretforton Grange and Theatrebarn has three core purposes:
- To serve the local community, enriching their lives through art, culture, social, and educational opportunities.
- To be a residential place for new work to be developed, created and tested in a safe, accessible, and immersive environment.
- To improve the lives and wellbeing of creative freelancers by being a haven for them to rest, work, share skills, and collaborate.
Scope of the Project:
This project aims to transform the Estate into a fully operational, accessible destination.
Key capital objectives include:
- Converting the historic Grade II* Grange into a communal living/working space for creative residential groups.
- Making the site accessible to wheelchairs users including a new front entrance for the theatre, accessible toilet facilities, and paths across the site.
- Installing and future proofing digital and technical infrastructure.

Are you passionate about supporting parents to get off to the best start with their new babies? Do you understand the impact wellbeing struggles can have on early parenthood?
We are looking for an energetic, talented individual to join the NCT Parents in Mind Halton and Warrington team, co-ordinating the delivery of our perinatal mental health peer support across the area – until March 2025 (possible extension based on funding). This role is largely home-based but will include travel (sometimes at short notice) across Halton and Warrington - so the ability to travel and a flexible approach to working are essential. The post will be for 24 hours per week.
About the role
The post holder will use their excellent listening skills, sensitivity and empathy to refer service users into the peer support service, making sure we are the right fit for their needs, and if so, matching them with our fabulous team of volunteer peer supporters. The project co-ordinator will also monitor and take feedback on the experiences of the clients in our care, and support those who need additional/alternative support into other local services.
The role will require the confidence to network with and occasionally present to local clinical and partner agencies across maternity and mental health sectors, to integrate the service into local pathways and build relationships with - and the profile of - the service.
You must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to quickly create rapport with volunteers, service users, NCT practitioners and a range of staff from local services. An understanding of mental health challenges is also essential to the post. This is a complex project, so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently. The post holder will be an ambassador for the service across the locality, so outstanding relationship building skills are vital. Good IT skills will also be required – including use of Outlook, Word and Excel. Ideally you will also have the skills to be able to engage with parents via social media.
It is essential for this post that you are, or undertake the training to become, a Parents in Mind peer supporter. This training requires lived experience/close support of another who has experienced wellbeing difficulties during the transition to parenthood – full accredited training would be provided.
