We have an exciting opportunity for a Training and Engagement Officer to join the Norfolk and Suffolk Victim Care team and based in the Norfolk office, working 37.5 hours a week.

About the role:

  • This role is based in our Norwich office. As a Training and Engagement Officer you will:
  • Develop and coordinate a range of engagement and promotion activities aligned to the priorities of the local service
  • Develop referral routeways with local organisations.
  • Increase community engagement and fundraising support where appropriate.
  • Develop and deliver a variety of training packages to relevant community partners promoting the work of Victim Support services to increase referrals.
  • Develop and expand awareness to partner agencies and community groups of the support available locally to anyone affected by crime.
  • Uphold and promote the values of Victims Support and treat colleagues and service users in a fair and non-discriminatory way.
  • You will need:
  • Experience of presenting to, training, and developing people.
  • Experience of partnership working, engaging with organisations and building relationships.
  • The ability to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build and sustain relationships.
  • Ability to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the requirements of the role.
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all data protection requirements.
