STOPAIDS is seeking an experienced finance professional to be our Treasurer, working with the CEO, other members of the Board of Trustees, and with our senior management team to ensure that our finances are secure, sustainable, and compliant into the future.

Who we are

STOPAIDS is a membership network with a distinguished thirty-five year history of engagement on international development and HIV and AIDS. Our strength is in our membership and partnership and STOPAIDS convenes and unites UK civil society voices and positively shapes UK leadership in the global response to HIV and other health rights and equity issues.

The role

STOPAIDS is seeking an experienced finance professional to be our Treasurer, working with the CEO, other members of the Board of Trustees, and with our senior management team to ensure that our finances are secure, sustainable, and compliant into the future.

Remuneration: The role of Treasurer is not accompanied by any financial remuneration, although expenses for travel may be claimed

Location: Remote with occasional mutually agreed in-person Board meetings, Finance Sub-Committee meetings, STOPAIDS events and meetings with the CEO and/or Chair.

Time commitment: 3 scheduled Board meetings per year and regular Finance Sub-Committee meetings (typically every 2 months). Additionally, the Treasurer is also expected to authorise some payments and be a co-signatory to STOPAIDS bank and credit card accounts. Further urgent decisions may be made electronically by Trustees between scheduled Board meetings, and the Treasurer shall liaise with the CEO, Executive, and Trustees to provide financial perspectives and opinions to support decision-making.

Term of office: 3 years, renewable to a maximum term of six years.

Reporting to: The Chair of the Board of Trustees.
