The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.

Salford CVS delivers a range of projects and services that build resilient communities and encourage local people to be active citizens.

The postholder will primarily work on our Volunteering and Emergency Response activity, including the development and delivery of Salford CVS’s own volunteering programmes. We anticipate that, while it will fluctuate throughout the year, the postholder will spend roughly half their time on Emergency Response related work, and half their time on volunteering related work (although both areas overlap).

The coordinator roles are vital components of this project. We want to attract candidates from the South West of England with sound local knowledge and able to travel in the region - these will be important parts of this job.

Purpose of the roles:

• To be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Neighbourhood Watch’s partner project involving Neighbourhood Watch volunteers within the South West.
• Recruit, training and coordinate volunteers so they can deliver information sessions to community groups. 
• Research areas in needs of support and book venues where information sessions will be delivered by volunteers.

The main duties of the role

To deliver the IntoUniversity programme effectively to children and young people in different settings, including schools-based workshops, Academic Support sessions and educational visits. This includes positive behaviour management and adherence to the IntoUniversity safeguarding policy.

• To assist with the organisation and delivery of the Academic Support, FOCUS and Mentoring Programmes.

At FearFree we are proud to deliver services across the Southwest to those impacted by domestic abuse, and we’re excited to be expanding our offer, with the introduction of a new Rediscovering Independence through Support and Empowerment (RISE) Service.

As a Support Advisor working part time or full time, you will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting the delivery of the RISE programmes and the development of the service. The service will provide a range of trauma-informed and person-centred support, focused on supporting those impacted by abuse to access education, training, employment or volunteering.

You will be responsible for providing trauma informed support through group work and 1-1 support. Working alongside a team of practitioners across our geographical patch in Wiltshire, the project aims to:

• Increase volunteers in FearFree and support people to access volunteering opportunities externally.
• Support individuals impacted by abuse to access training and employment.
• Help people access bespoke apprenticeships and internships.
• Support service users to increase and advance work related skills, such as the development of CVs, financial management and IT skills.
• Raise awareness of this agenda to a wider network.

The service will support victims of Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence and Stalking aged 15 and above, alongside perpetrators of Domestic Abuse – empowering victims and reducing the risk of recidivism for perpetrators.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in working with vulnerable people and an understanding / experience of the Education, Training and Employment (ETE) sector. They will have an understanding of trauma informed practice and ideally have experience implementing this within group and 1-1 settings. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of Employability skills and will demonstrate the ability to proactively engage with both local employers and local support networks/organisations to promote the skills of the individuals they are supporting.

About this vital role

Leading by example, as Senior Caseworker you will be the day-to-day expert within the team, be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers and escalate concerns to the Team Leader or Service Manager.  You will work with – and advocate for - young people and their families at risk of youth violence in residential settings and provide vital support, advice and advocacy using a strength-based approach, which will also include working through person-centred support plans designed to promote choice and control.

We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, where you will provide a practical service that will include social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, appearing in court, and DIY work.  Ensuring, on a day-to-day basis, all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated in line with agreed processes, is also a key element of this role, as is developing and maintaining strong working relationships with partner agencies.

Join our ambitious and talented team as a Learning Support Assistant in North London. Come and support our students aged 16 - 25 with learning differences, with their learning, work experience, personal growth and independence.  

We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability skills. You will support our students to participate fully at the Harington Scheme’s training centres in Highgate and Hornsey or on work experience. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with patience and understanding to work with students to give them maximum choice and independence. You must have previous experience working with learners with learning disabilities, ideally within a classroom setting. 

You should have literacy and numeracy skills with at least grade 4 in GCSE Maths & English. You will have a good level of digital skills and be able to use a range of IT software including Microsoft Office. Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college based in north London. In June 2024 we were judged as Good by Ofsted. We work with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living.  We also deliver a supported internship programme.   

Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. We also work with other employers to provide opportunities in other settings to meet the aspirations of our students.  

Our larger Highgate training centre is located in beautiful grounds, with a 1.8 acre horticulture site where we grow vegetables and flowers to sell at local markets.

Oasis Community Hub East Southampton are recruiting for an experienced Lead Youth Worker to work alongside the youth and community hub team in East Southampton.  This positive, adaptable and talented youth worker will help us to deliver detached youth work and mentoring. Supporting the development of a team and building youth leadership opportunities.

The role will be focussed on the East Southampton community surrounding Oasis Academies Mayfield and Sholing and the Harefield Hub space. Delivering detached work, alongside other partners using our Oasis Youth van; delivering mentoring in schools and supporting and developing a youth team.

Key responsibilities will be:

· To develop and deliver a youth work programme engaging with young people across East Southampton in school and community settings. To Include:

o Detached provision

o Positive activities

o Wellbeing support

o Mentoring

· To work alongside the hub team to increase opportunities for young people to influence decision making and develop their leadership.

· To line manage sessional youth staff and support volunteers.

The successful post holder must have:

· Proven experience of leading work with young people in formal and informal settings

· Understanding of monitoring and evaluation in youth work
