Job description

The Santa Marta Group is looking for a Communications and Network Officer who will help to deliver our research and communications plans, provide web and digital support, and enhance the growth and engagement of our network.

Santa Marta is an alliance between law enforcement, religious groups, and civil society partners that seeks to bring an end to human trafficking and modern slavery. We aim to identify, inspire and initiate collaborative action that will combat human trafficking and address its fundamental causes.

The role of Communications and Network officer is a key position in the organisation with the successful candidate working collaboratively across the team, and so flexibility and a willingness to develop and take on responsibility will be important.

We are looking for a graduate with experience and enthusiasm able to operate sensitively and professionally. The successful candidate will have the ability, or potential, to develop research, reports and briefings, responding on our social media and website with media positions on human rights issues relating to modern slavery and human trafficking, and to help support the Santa Marta Group's network with advice and training. The candidate will help deliver advocacy and horizon scanning and will be expected to represent credibly the Santa Marta Group to senior audiences. They will also provide support for major initiatives and events, working with the rest of the team to ensure that Santa Marta remains on track with its strategic aims.

Interviews will be held on a rolling basis. Please apply as soon as possible as we reserve the right to close the advert early if we find a suitable candidate.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
