The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are now looking for a Park Events Manager to join us on a full-time basis for a five month, fixed-term contract.

This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced events professional with a talent for co-ordination and stakeholder engagement to join our dedicated organisation.

You’ll take the lead in planning and delivering a varied events programme in the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich Park, showcasing your expertise while helping to engage the local community through inspiring and accessible activities.

The Role

As our Park Events Manager, you will oversee the co-ordination and delivery of small to medium-sized event programmes in Greenwich Park.

Working with the Park Manager and Community Engagement Officer, you will ensure events such as open days in the Learning Centre, the Family Folk Festival Weekend, and the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival are successfully delivered from planning through to completion.

You will act as the first point of contact for all Greenwich Park Revealed (GPR) Legacy Activities, review event documentation, assess feasibility, and co-ordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless execution.

Additionally, you will:

  • Review event applications, risk assessments (RAMS), and insurance documents
  • Lead event planning meetings
  • Draft contracts, issue invoices, and generate relevant event permits
  • Oversee Event Management Plans and post-event reporting
  • Ensure health and safety responsibilities are prioritised

About You

To be considered as our Park Events Manager, you will need:

  • Experience co-ordinating and delivering small events programmes
  • Experience administering and delivering small events
  • Experience dealing with enquiries from the public and other stakeholders
