About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in London, in a key role supporting our Chief Executive and wider executive team.

The Executive Team Assistant will provide confidential EA support to the Chief Executive along with providing organisational support to the wider Executive Team, enabling them to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible. Through effective communication and organisation of queries, inbox and diary management, meeting and event coordination along with support on project administration, the post holder will support the CEO and wider Directorate while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

About you 

The successful candidate will need previous experience of supporting Executive teams with the ability to deliver complex tasks and lead in finding ways to support the leadership team to work more effectively. Experience in designing documentation (e.g. project summary reports, presentations and minutes) for projects or change initiatives is essential.

You will enjoy juggling priorities and forward planning to ensure projects and meetings run efficiently. You will be comfortable with autonomy whilst also able to build effective relationships and understand different stakeholder needs. As Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for the Huntington’s Disease Association, you will help deliver our strategic plans and objectives by generating and growing income through community fundraising activities. You will support our existing supporters and community fundraising portfolio as well as proactively expanding our reach with community-based groups, organisations, and volunteers, to ensure maximum financial return for the charity. This is an essential role in a small, national organisation supporting people affected by Huntington's disease. This is an income-generating role, but it is also about connecting with our supporters and creating long-term relationships for the future. 

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship for supporters and fundraising groups to secure and maximise income; you will advise supporters on fundraising legal requirements, fundraising policies and regulations, ensuring that all community fundraising activities meet the high standards of the Huntington’s Disease Association. In addition, you will also manage your own financial income and expenditure targets and budgets. 

You will be able to demonstrate experience of fundraising at a charity as well as experience of budget management. You will represent and promote the work, vision and purpose of the Huntington's Disease Association.

Senior Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Remote (UK based) with travel required

Salary: £34,200 (Grade 4) per year (plus Inner London Weighting of £3,483.94, if eligible)

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Purpose of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer role: 

As Senior Quality Assurance Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting and innovating Women’s Aid’s National Quality Standards (NQS) offer for member services. Sitting within Women’s Aid’s busy Membership Team, the postholder will successfully lead in supporting member services to continually improve and evidence good quality specialist responses to survivors’ needs in local service provision and will support the internal team alongside external consultant assessors to deliver a strong quality framework that reflects the diversity, and complex work of our members.  A key time for Women’s Aid to connect our policy work, our membership and our strategic campaigning work around the standards that fully represents the unique value of the membership body. 

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

• To be responsible for the coordination of delivery of Women’s Aid National Quality Standards assessments including ensuring assessment processes are completed in a timely manner. 
• Scheduling Quality Assessment Panels including recruitment of panelists. This will include responsibility for ensuring terms of reference are fulfilled and ensuring potential conflicts of interest are identified and addressed. 
• Presenting assessments to the Quality Assessment Panel in the unavoidable absence of the assessor and notetaking including recording outcomes, actions and decisions where required.
• To support the Chair of the Quality Assessment Panel in conducting panel meetings and highlight areas of risk or conflict to the Chair in advance of meetings.
• Be first point of contact for dealing with appeals and complaints, managing low to middle-risk complaints and escalating to the Membership Resolution Manager as required for high risk complaints. 
• Responsibility for allocation of assessments to internal and consultant assessors ensuring target dates are met and operational considerations, such as location and conflict of interests, are considered. 
•  To conduct quality standards assessments of domestic abuse services, including reviewing evidence, making site visits, writing assessment reports and presenting cases to the Quality Assessment Panel.
• Review of assessment reports for quality, adherence to standards and consistency prior to presentation at Quality Assessment Panel, including giving feedback to the assessor and ensuring this is actioned.
• Develop a clear strategy and delivery plans to support the sustainability and growth of the Women’s Aid National Quality standards including supporting increase of income-generation activities.
• Line management of Quality Assurance Officer including day-to-day support, supervision and appraisal activities.
• To work across WAFE to promote the Women’s Aid National Quality Standards to commissioners and government as the ‘gold standard’ quality framework for services working with women and child survivors of domestic violence.  

What we are looking for in our Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

• Knowledge of quality frameworks appropriate to domestic violence services.  
• Knowledge and proven experience of the principles of quality assurance and good practice in delivering accreditation processes.   
• A very good understanding of the experiences and needs of women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence and violence against women and girls and the intersectionality that impacts this
• Thorough understanding of the role of specialist services supporting women and children at risk of violence against women and girls   
• Experience of writing and producing briefings and reports   
• Experience of planning, delivering and managing projects within a set timeframe and with clear outputs.  
• Experience of providing and/or managing direct services to survivors of violence against women and girls.   
• Excellent verbal, written and computer literacy skills.   
• Ability to analyse complex information and identify the implications for women and children affected by domestic violence and the services supporting them.

What you'll do:

* Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained
* Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases
* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Contract Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency
* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.
* Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.
* Prepare files and documents for legal action and present cases in County Court hearings for possession claims, money judgements
* Serve NTQs, NOSPs, NRPs and carry out home visits as requested.
* Accurately and comprehensively record all actions on the housing management system and use reports from the housing management system to manage cases and monitor performance
* Assist with the taking on of new agency housing management responsibilities related to new services and as needed with the transfer of housing management responsibilities schemes to other providers

As our Analytics Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving forward analytics at WaterAid, helping ensure that we can achieve our ambitious goals for income growth and ultimately that everyone, everywhere has clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.

In this role, you will lead on analytics initiatives as well as leading a high-performing analytics team of four analysts.
You'll also:

• Work closely with senior leadership to understand the key business intelligence challenges in their areas and translate this into business intelligence requirements for the team to deliver against.
• Design analytics projects and team initiatives that will optimise the use of analytics in the organisation.
• Support the Data Science Specialist in the team to develop the data science practice at WaterAid.
• Enable stakeholders from across the organisation take a data-driven and insight-led approach to decision making.
• Motivate, develop and mentor the team of Analysts.

About You:
You'll be an experienced analytics manager with experience of leading analytics teams and projects.
To be successful, you'll need:

• Ability to work collaboratively and constructively as a team leader, empowering your team.
• Experience of influencing senior decision makers through clear and compelling articulation of evidence and insight.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience of building and delivering Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using BI technology.
• 'Can do', problem solving attitude, with the ability to look beyond the immediate remit of the role in order to investigate and diagnose the root cause of issues.

Main duties and responsibilities

Providing oversight for key UoGSU functions

• To provide operational leadership to the finance staff team and be the post holder ultimately responsible for the production of management accounts, budgeting information and reports for our Board of Trustees
• To deliver HR administration and support the running of HR systems alongside external partners
• To work with others to ensure the accurate recording of staff training, sickness and performance from across the SU
• To work with others across UoGSU to respond to annual regulatory returns and surveys including the Charity Commission and Companies House
• To act as the lead contact for external providers of insurance, payroll, banking, audit, web services and other providers consummate with a role of this nature

Working with other UoGSU teams

• To work with other UoGSU management staff to ensure that Central Service staff are delivering a high quality product

We have been awarded a significant grant from the Defra Trees Call to Action Fund for #Defra Heart of England: growing momentum, capacity, skills and trees. In partnership with Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, and Wychavon District Councils, the Heart of England Forest is leading this three year project to engage with landowners and local communities to increase tree cover across the landscape. Working together to identify suitable areas for trees to be planted, facilitate tree planting, and support woodland maintenance, new woodlands will be created that benefit the environment, boost biodiversity, and provide havens for communities to enjoy.

We are looking for two candidates with widespread experience of project delivery and good team working skills. The successful candidates will work closely with project partners to engage with local communities and larger scale landowners to identify suitable areas for tree planting.  Working with them to understand their needs, you will provide information on different types of planting and support them through the regulatory and funding process.

You will be passionate about landscape-scale conservation and the benefits this brings to both people and wildlife and have a demonstrable track record in successful team working.

The post will be based in the Heart of England Forest head office in Dorsington, but due to the nature of the project  hybrid working will form part of the role.  Each project delivery post has been assigned a particular geographic area – Warwick, Stratford-on-Avon or Wychavon district – and will be expected to travel extensively across their project area. However, both posts will contribute to delivery across the wider project area as applicable, working on a collaborative manner with the existing project team.
