Job description

At Pace, we transform the lives of babies, children and young people who have a neurodisability like cerebral palsy. Our mission is to help them reach their full potential – and our staff make it happen, every day.

Do you want to make a real difference in your next role, using your skills and experience as a Fundraising Manager? If your answer is yes you might just be the person we’re looking for!

You will play a vital role in fundraising for our primary and secondary school and students, enabling them to have a blend of therapies and education, giving them the opportunity to learn and achieve just like any other child.

This role is yours to shape as you bring together, manage and develop our corporate partners, community fundraisers and event participants to increase fundraising activity.

You will have proven event experience to develop and deliver 2 mass participation events each year. Leading with strong stewardship you will engage and grow your volunteer base to help staff your events, making them accessible and strongly community based.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills are essential, and as a highly motivated individual you will have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your varied workload. You will also enjoy taking ownership of your work and have the ambitious drive to progress the public fundraising streams at Pace.

Position: Fundraising Manager

What you will be working on:

  • You'll create, organise and deliver 2 mass participation events each year using your event experience and research to engage and encourage people to get involved and take part, raising the profile of Pace in the community
  • You'll develop a programme to grow your volunteer base to help staff your events, communicating with them to keep them engaged and motivated
  • You'll nurture the current corporate partners and look for opportunities to increase the fundraising activity of their staff and partners and supporters through your events and organising and helping create fundraising events for them
  • You'll develop your community fundraisers and work with them to maintain relationships and increase their involvement
  • You'll be creating a stewardship programme for all 3 areas to update them with news and opportunities to get involved

This job is for you if:

  • You have experience of developing and implementing events from conception to finish
  • You enjoy managing varied workloads and working to deadlines
  • You have worked with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders
