SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITIES PEER SUPPORT LEAD (WEST YORKSHIRE)

Leeds, West Yorkshire (Hybrid)
Bradford, West Yorkshire
£26,500 per year
Full-time
Contract (6 month contract (with possibility of extension))
Job description

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge?

Do you have relevant experience?

This might be relating to your own personal experience or supporting others in relation to viral hepatitis, liver disease or alcohol or injecting drug use.

We are looking for passionate, skilled and self-motivated individual who like to be part of a team but equally can work on their own. The post holder must have a desire to make a difference in promoting hepatitis awareness & liver health among services with a focus on South Asian communities in the area and by increasing access to hepatitis treatment and liver disease care.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on an established project, within an existing team, across the West Yorkshire area. The project will continue to build on and support a network of peer volunteers who will support awareness and testing work within South Asian Communities, alongside Leeds Teaching Hospitals and in collaboration with the wider Hepatitis C Trust team.

We are a patient-led organisation, and you will be working in an environment where the patient/service user/client is placed at the centre of all that you do. This post will require extensive travel across the region and the post holder is required to hold a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.
