The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits within our Data Protection, Records and Archive team within the Legal and Governance Department. The team manages the data protection, records management and archive services for The Children's Society.
Your role will support the Archive team with the operation and promotion of The Children's Society Archive.
TYPE OF PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR/ WHAT'S EXPECTED OF THEM
We are currently looking for Business Support Officer to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
A key part of this role will be your ability to undertake a wide range of activities and processes to deliver an effective archive service for the organisation.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-A minimum of 2 A-level qualifications
-Experience of working in an archive (paid or voluntary)
-Experience of using professional archive management software and Microsoft 365
-Able to work quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy
-Flexible with the ability to move between different tasks at short notice
-Good written and oral communication skills, and good numeracy skills
