Development Manager - Volunteering

We do this by supporting and championing voluntary and community organisations and providing a range of services, training and advice. We also believe that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive and so we work with local partners to provide volunteering opportunities for all.

Pivotal to our success in this mission is Volunteering Development Manager who will bring a wealth of strategic and operational experience. In addition to creating a new ‘Vision for Volunteering’ in Somerset, you’ll lead on the development of new projects and initiatives which could include supported volunteering, skill sharing and youth social action.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, adaptable, tenacious, and able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from with grass roots groups to key strategic partners.

In return, we offer flexible, remote working options, a free employee assistance programme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata if part time) and up to 7.5 hours of volunteering leave each year.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, although part time hours will be considered for the right candidate. The annual salary is £32-34k depending on experience, with an additional relocation package available for the successful candidate moving to the Somerset area.
