About the Service
Solace Women’s Aid is dedicated to ending the harm caused by gender-based violence. We work with women and children, offering services that are tailored to the unique needs of survivors. Our approach is holistic and empowering, partnering with survivors to help them achieve independent, abuse-free lives.
We are now looking for a Business Development Director to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role
As our Business Development Director, you will provide strategic leadership and oversee Income Generation, Public Affairs, Partnerships, and Communications to support our mission to aid women and children affected by violence.
Working closely with the Chief Executive, Executive Team and Board of Trustees, you will develop and implement business development strategies that align with our goals, while ensuring transparent governance and robust reporting mechanisms.
You will also oversee a team of twelve whilst setting and achieving ambitious growth targets for statutory contracts, grants and unrestricted income, as well as enhancing our reputation through effective public affairs and partnerships.
Additionally, you will ensure our brand and communications strategies are effective, leveraging digital technology to expand public awareness and support fundraising efforts.
Your role will also involve:
- Leading the income generation, public affairs, partnerships, and communications teams
- Developing and reporting on the annual income generation budget
- Fostering service user involvement across all areas of work
- Ensuring compliance with Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Health and Safety legislation
About You
To be considered as our Business Development Director, you will need:
- Experience of working at a senior level in a similar role
- Experience in income generation
- Experience of leadership and management at this level
