About the role
Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South East region, which includes: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Guernsey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex.
There will be occasional travel around the South East Region and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
About the team
The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the ten SSAFA branches in the South East, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Support Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the South East Region would be valuable.

About the role:
As Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager you will drive income through acquiring and managing relationships with corporate partners and major donors. This role is designed to meet the debt advice needs of Oxford residents. The post holder will provide debt advice including benefit checks, ways to raise income and reduce overheads. Key responsibilities:

About this exciting opportunity
St Giles Trust have been funded by the Ministry of Justice’s Women’s Interventions Funding to deliver a gender specific service in Coventry for women who are on the periphery of the criminal justice system. Our service will use credible lived experience staff that will position themselves across multiple ‘reachable’ moments for example, working in police stations, courts, and probation to divert women into appropriate support, activities & interventions. We follow a Trauma-Informed responsive delivery model, supporting women who have highly complex & interlinked needs to reduce and desist from future potential offending. We are looking for experienced caseworker-facilitators who will be able to identify additional and specialist learning needs and identify barriers within our female client groups. The mentor facilitators should be able to address and support across the pathways listed below whilst delivering a Healthy Relationship programme within a group setting.
What we are looking for
• Understanding of the issues faced by females involved or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system.
• A knowledge and understanding of providing support, advice and advocacy to vulnerable clients and the ability to communicate this knowledge in a variety of ways.
• We would particularly welcome applications from women with lived experience or experience of working in a Mental Health/Wellbeing Service/Role as well as those with experience and understanding of working with other supportive organisations (i.e. Finance, Benefit and Debt Service).
• Ability to assess clients’ needs and provide client-led support.

About this key role
As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.
We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, including group work sessions, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.
What we are looking for
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, e.g., those with complex and multiple needs
• Proven record of working with partner agencies
• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice
• Higher level certificate in money and/or welfare benefit advice from accreditation
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support
• Able to work sensitively with clients applying trauma informed strategies
• Welsh Language and a full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

About this exciting opportunity
The vital role of the Nurturing New Adventures Caseworker will focus on engaging and supporting girls and young women in Wolverhampton once they have been identified as being involved in a violence-related incident, being at risk of exploitation or gang affiliated. You will build positive relationships with them and their families and produce risk management plans based on assessments, plus deliver a holistic support service that provides practical help such as housing and social support, education, and training and employment options.
Working for this service you will be part of a team, a regional service and an organisation that is at the forefront of working with young people to reduce the huge harms caused to young females caught up in CSE/CCE. You will be at all times mindful of, and promote St Giles’ organisational Vision, Mission, Values and strategic aims.
What we are looking for
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess clients’ needs.
• Experience of engaging positively with young females or other vulnerable groups.
• Ability to calculate risk and implement safety procedures when engaging with clients.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused.
• A knowledge of the cross over from CSE/CCE and how exploitation impacts young females.
• A clear understanding of safeguarding for children and young adults
• Ability to be a flexible and co-operative member of a team.
• The ability to use and develop monitoring systems to record all aspects of the project including; actions, outcomes and referrals.
• A flexible, proactive and collaborative approach to your work.

This multi-faceted role will see our successful candidate support the Management Team with recruitment campaigns and the central HR colleagues with our safer recruitment processes. Reporting to the Strategic Director for External Affairs, this is a pivotal role which will tell NCB’s story and the difference we make from the playground to parliament, analysing, influencing and ultimately changing the complex systems on which children and families rely. The postholder will position NCB across the sector as a trusted convener, a catalyst for change and a champion of children and families.
The post is part of the NCB Enhanced Strategic Leadership Team and is accountable for harnessing NCB’s specialisms within a broad understanding of children’s lives, providing high level policy and political analysis.

This role is challenging and rewarding, for both an experienced worker who wants the autonomy and flexibility to find creative solutions or as a development role for a worker that wants to learn outreach skills and is keen to work with clients at a point where their need is acute. You will be expected to work with clients in a variety of settings and being a rough sleeper team will require an ability to do some shifts starting at 6am and others finishing at 2am.

- Conduct outreach alongside a range of partners and proactively assess those found to rapidly access housing, health services and treatment
- Manage a caseload of clients suffering multiple disadvantage where there are significant barriers to rapidly accessing accommodation and services requiring relationship building and a thoughtful approach to making incremental change.

For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
About you
The successful candidate will be a strong good communicator who can engage with clients in a range of settings. They will also be adaptable to challenges relating to communication, be it language barriers, cultural differences or working with those who are neuro-diverse. Thisincludes the ability to convey concepts to people in a simple way that can be easily understood.
In addition, the successful candidate will have some experience of client case management and the resilience to achieve and meet agreed outcomes paired with the ability to work remotely and lone work with vulnerable people.

Are you looking for an opportunity where your skills will make a difference in helping to end homelessness and rebuild lives?
We’re looking for a dedicated Psychotherapist/Counselling Psychologist to provide psychological support and therapy, including group and individual work, across a number of hostels in the Camden Adult Pathway, working as part of the Women’s Safe Space Project. The team works with women experiencing multiple disadvantage, trauma and homelessness who might otherwise struggle to access support. Support needs might include alcohol/substance use, VAWG, domestic abuse and sexual exploitation.
You’ll also be responsible for co-developing and delivering a program of psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapeutic support to women in the Adult Pathway that might otherwise be excluded from traditional therapeutic services. The approach will be flexible and clients centered. This will involve one to one therapy and may include psychoeducational groups and delivering training to staff teams. In Camden and St Mungo’s our staff teams have predominantly been trained in Psychologically Informed Environments but Safe Space also recognises Trauma Informed Care as a useful framework for this project.
In order to be effective in this role, you’ll need to establish and maintain close and effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary services. You will need to be registered and accredited with UKCP / BACP or HCPC / BPS following the completion of a psychotherapeutic/psychology training. We are looking for someone who has proven experience of using a range of psychological interventions with people living with current and historic complex trauma, experience of working psychotherapeutically with people with alcohol and/or substance dependencies and a good knowledge of VAWG. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to convey complex concepts in straightforward language and to form strong working relationships with the team and service users.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical practitioner to develop a new approach to working with women experiencing multiple disadvantage as well as developing their own therapeutic skills within a vibrant and innovative project.
