Job description

Sherborne Museum is a thriving community museum that seeks to represent the rich heritage of
the town and the key events that shaped its history and development over the years. It plays an
important role in the local community, with a lively programme of events and a developing
education and outreach service. We are looking to recruit up to three new trustees to ensure good governance and provide strategic direction to the charity as we embark on the next stage of the museum’s development. 

We would be especially keen to hear from individuals who have skills or experience in the following areas:

 1. Buildings/property management
To lead the implementation of our new Routine Maintenance Plan and oversee the ongoing care of our Grade II Listed building.

 2. Marketing and communications
To lead the implementation of our marketing strategy and provide guidance on its future development.

 3. Fundraising
To lead the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy.
