Responsible for the development and maintenance of all safeguarding learning material, key responsibilities will include:
- Online awareness training for staff, volunteers, and members on safeguarding adults and children, covering UK devolved administrations and RBL’s overseas welfare work
- Integrated safeguarding and casework training for range of staff, volunteers, members and stakeholders
- Working with Heads of Departments across all directorates to deliver SME-specific training both virtual and in-person
- Conducting research to support the planning and delivery of safeguarding training
- Evaluating case reviews and trends analysis, to inform training
This post is a Permanent Part Time opportunity, working 21 hours per week. Schedule of hours to be agreed between Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

About the role:
We are seeking a Head of Operations to work with the CEO and senior leadership team to manage a broad scope of operational functions, including workplace governance, people management, digital support, data and risk management. The Development Coordinator is a new role created to enable the Worthing Theatres & Museum Development team to raise crucial funds that will support the organisation in achieving its ambitious goals.
WTM has recently undergone a significant fundraising review and a new strategy is now in place. The postholder will work closely with the Head of Development and Development Manager to deliver the ambitious fundraising strategy for WTM. They will be responsible for raising funds of up to £10,000 per application from primarily Trusts and Foundations and some local corporate partners, and supporting the team with operational tasks including financial processes, events and communications.
Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Fundraising and Relationship Management
● Manage relationships with Trust and Foundation funders giving up to £10,000 per year including ongoing donor stewardship, reporting writing, crediting etc.
● Secure new income by applying for grants and funding of up to £10,000 to support a range of WTM projects from Trust and Foundations and from local businesses including researching trusts and businesses, identifying suitable projects within the WTM portfolio to apply for, writing bids etc.
Development Operations and Support

The key duties of this Head of Finance are as follows:
- Prepare annual global organisation budgets by entity, business unit and project.
- Prepare multi-year forecasts and financial plans built on known and likely projects, activities, expected growth and blue-sky scenarios.
- Prepare regular financial performance reports for the Executive Committee and Board.
- Have critical oversight of the global results consolidation.
- Lead the Global Finance team with 3 direct reports and outsourced local relationships for each office jurisdiction.
- Prepare quarterly global and entity forecasts and supervise cashflow.
- Hold oversight of global fiscal and tax compliance.
- Plan, forecast and monitor recovery of funds from grant funded projects.
- Promote the visibility of financial data and outputs to stakeholders through continuous improvement and integration of finance and related systems and processes.
- Deputise for the CFO on Financial matters at Senior Management Team and Executive Committee meetings as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified as an Accountant: ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Non-profit experience, particularly with grants and project financial reporting.
- International experience – ideally at HQ group level (non-profit or commercial) demonstrating an understanding of cultural and logistical challenges.
- Excellent FP&A experience, including modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience of managing a finance team.
- Experience providing a proactive partnering role to business operations, especially in ensuring achievement of budgets
- The willingness to travel internationally to other GWEC offices on an infrequent basis.
Candidates must live within a commutable distance from our offices in Southwick, Brighton, although opportunities to work from home will be on offer for 3-4 days per week.

The charity supports individuals with mobility challenges to live a full life. The Head of Fundraising will focus on developing and expanding their portfolio of individual donors, trusts and foundations and corporate partners. This is also a great role for someone looking to step up into a Head of role for the first time.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the strategy, a small team and the stewardship and re-engagement of the charity’s current portfolio of high-value individual donors, trusts and corporate partners. You’ll also work directly with Programme Managers to create compelling new funding proposals to pitch to new partners.
To be successful in the Head of Fundraising role, you’ll need:
- Experience managing a relationships with high-networth-individuals, corporates and trusts and foundations, taking a relationship-led approach.
- Experience of researching new prospective donors and writing and pitching of funding proposals.
- Ability to work proactively and independently to drive growth in an organisation
- An eagerness to develop your management experience
Salary: £46,000 - £54,000

Location: London, hybrid working (2 days a week office-based)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits
As Head of Media, PR & Editorial, you will be responsible for planning, developing and leading the implementation of the charity’s media relations, editorial content and messaging, awareness campaigns and stakeholder communications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences.
- PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories and celebrity/ambassador management.
- The management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
The successful candidate will be an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation. This must include experience in developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. Proven experience planning and managing multiple cross-departmental projects and leading a team, is also vital.
