Location: London/Hybrid working

Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time permanent contract

Corporate Partnerships

The RIBA Corporate Partnerships team is a new team that has been specifically created to innovate, attract, grow and deliver long-term, sustainable sponsorship revenue streams for RIBA, across a range of events, such as awards, conferences, talks, exhibitions and bespoke projects.

This is an exciting time for this team and RIBA. We are building a new future with mix of existing corporate partnerships and developing new business opportunities with sector leading brands.

About the Role

The Corporate Partnerships Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of all corporate partnership contracts and activities, effectively and efficiently, to maximise the benefit of both the corporate partner and the RIBA.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role focuses on the management of corporate partner relationships, working innovatively with colleagues across the RIBA, to ensure a high level of income retention, growth and sales with existing partners.

This role includes key involvement in significant RIBA projects and events, such as the RIBA Stirling Prize; the RIBA Royal Gold Medal; RIBA Regional and National Awards; professional business and CPD events, seminars and roundtables; and a number of public talks and exhibitions at RIBA’s London headquarters and RIBA North in Liverpool’s Waterfront.

You will be required to

  • Provide support to a varied portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring that they are stewarded effectively to strengthen their relationship with the RIBA, and so support long-term income growth for the RIBA
  • Play a role in the renewals sales process including collaborating with the Head of Corporate Partnerships on new ideas and proposals 
  • Provide first point of contact and dedicated account management for corporate partners dealing with any queries or new requirements that may arise 
  • Work with RIBA member-facing teams to ensure corporate partners’ requirements are successfully delivered, in line with contracted objectives and goals 
  • Attend client meetings and internal stakeholder and management meetings as the representative of the Corporate Partnerships team 
  • Responsible for the administration of all corporate partner income and ensure that all payments are recorded and accounted correctly and as per the contracted terms  
  • Maintain appropriate systems for the management and reconciliation of the Corporate Partnerships budget  
  • Provide comprehensive and timely reports summarising corporate partnership activities against set objectives and goals 
  • Develop a close working relationship with colleagues across the RIBA, with the focus on raising the profile of our corporate partners and the value they bring to the RIBA 
  • Manage, motivate and lead staff, nurturing learning and development, to ensure that they continue to advance their skills and knowledge

What are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a membership, media or an events organisation or charity. We are looking for an innovative individual with:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational skills and written and verbal communication.
  • A strong work ethic
  • An ability to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
  • A knowledge of the architecture and construction industry would be an asset, though not essential.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications
