This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Early Invention Worker to support and reach out to young people aged 11 – 17 who have experienced or been affected by gender-based abuse, domestic abuse and violence, female genital mutilation, sexual exploitation, forced marriage and so called ‘honor’- based abuse from the point of crisis, informing them of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options, to help ensure their short-term and long-term safety, reduce risk, enable them to access community support services and achieve their life goals.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
