Job description

We are pleased to be supporting a prestigious London University in their search to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Postgraduate Programme Administrator.  The post is to start as soon as possible and is a full-time, temporary role for 6-months. The post will be 5-days on site, based in East London.

Key responsibilities for this post will include:

  • Assisting Programme Managers in the day-to-day running of the department's programmes, including timetable coordination and production of handbooks.
  • Responding to all student queries in a prompt and informative manner.
  • Supporting the Programmes Manager in allocating student seminar groups.
  • Organising and minuting Department meetings.
  • Assisting with and preparing course materials.
  • Providing accurate course and assessment administration support.
  • Coordinating and recording coursework submissions and examination marks.
  • Using data bases and Excel to create and maintain accurate student records.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Worked in a similar post previously, ideally from a higher education setting.
  • Experience within Higher Education programme administration.
  • Experience within a fast-paced, customer facing environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office suite of products and the ability to use bespoke systems.
  • Ability to independently problem solve, seeking advice where appropriate.
