Job description

The Head of Health and Wellbeing, will be part of the Senior Management Team and will drive the success of our Health and Wellbeing strand, contributing to the achievement of the department’s strategic objectives. This role will develop and maintain partnerships, oversee the strand's growth, and manage a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the Trust’s Health and Wellbeing projects in line with their KPIs and within the proposed delivery plans.
- Write and oversee funding applications.
- Manage contractual expectations and reporting processes.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify areas for development within the city-wide provision.
- Produce high-quality written reports for internal and external purposes.
- Monitor and report on income and expenditure, monthly and quarterly, to the Executive team.
- Deliver, monitor and evaluate departmental expectations, aims and objectives.
- Lead the strategic health and wellbeing goals of PNECET to reduce health inequalities, leveraging the influence of Preston North End Football Club to create a lasting legacy across Preston.

Key Relationships:

- Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
- Line management of Health and Wellbeing programme Leads and Coordinators.
- Collaborate with health and wellbeing partners, PNECET staff, and external stakeholders.
- Engage with external commissioners and organisations to promote Health and Wellbeing programmes.
- Liaise with Preston City Council, Lancashire County Council, National Lottery, The Armed Forces Covenant Trust and other partners.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Success will be measured by the outcomes and impact of the programme against contractual expectations.
- The expansion and impact of Health and Wellbeing provision in Preston.
- Achievement of strategic objectives outlined in the Trust's "North End Together" strategy.
- Positive engagement with stakeholders, and the establishment of sustainable partnerships.

Working Arrangements:

- Full-time position, 37.5 hours.
- Office-based at PNECET with frequent travel within the community for partnership meetings.
- Flexibility required to accommodate evening and occasional weekend events and networking as part of programme delivery and quality assurance checks.
