Salary: £38,206 per annum
Hours: 34.5 hours per week
Department: Supporter Engagement and Operations
Job Type: Full-time
Contract Type: Fixed term until 24 October 2025 (to cover internal secondment)

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity striving for an equal world. One where every child can reach their full potential, and every girl can choose her own future.

We bring people together to protect children’s rights and keep girls safe, in school and in control of their bodies – even when disaster strikes. And we won’t stop until we are all equal.

The Supporter Engagement and Operations team is the heart of our supporter engagement and retention at Plan International UK. The team ensures that Plan effectively communicates with its supporters and delivers key logistical requirements for our fundraising, ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations. We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced person to lead the Sponsorship Operations team to deliver an exceptional service to our supporters in the end-to-end delivery of the child sponsorship process workflow and sponsorship operations and maintaining quality sponsorship data to enhance the sponsorship experience.

Key deliverables will include delivering the end-to-end processes required for child sponsorship in a timely, efficient, and compliant way; ensuring up-to-date and accurate procedures and guidance exist for all sponsorship operations; prioritising the team’s workload to meet service level agreements and proactively looking for opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance the sponsor experience by reviewing and evolving our processes.

You need experience of safeguarding, child protection and a strong understanding of Data Protection 2018 / UK GDPR – for data protection. You’ll also be responsible for providing leadership that promotes inclusivity, excellence, and teamwork within the Operations teams.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact while leading a team that is passionate, innovative, and committed to our cause – if this sounds like something you’re interested and experienced in, we’d love to hear from you.

The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Monday 30 September 2024
Interviews will take place on Thursday 10 October 2024

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in our work. We, therefore, apply rigorous recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only those who are suitable are recruited to work for us. Accordingly, appointment to all our roles is subject to a range of vetting checks and for this role this will include a Basic Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences

Plan International UK is committed to being an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds.
