Department: Supporter Engagement and Operations
Job Type: Full-time
Contract Type: Permanent

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity striving for an equal world. One where every child can reach their full potential and every girl can choose her own future.

We bring people together to protect children’s rights and keep girls safe, in school and in control of their bodies – even when disaster strikes. And we won’t stop until we are all equal.

The Supporter Engagement and Operations team is the heart of our supporter engagement and retention at Plan International UK. The team ensures that Plan effectively communicates with its supporters and delivers key logistical requirements for our fundraising, ensuring the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations. We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Supporter Engagement & Operations Lead to manage this team. The person will be responsible for creating excellent supporter experiences with Plan International UK – overseeing the operational delivery of our supporter care, income processing and sponsorship processes, leading the teams to provide first class customer service, and optimising our processes for maximum efficiency.

Key deliverables will include updating, developing and implementing fundraising processes to maximise income and ensure business continuity; overseeing the end-to-end child sponsorship process, looking for methods to enhance the sponsor experience; and driving continuous improvement in supporter care and fundraising, using data-driven insights and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and success.

You’ll also be responsible for providing leadership that promotes inclusivity, excellence, and teamwork within the Supporter Engagement and Operations teams.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact while leading a team that is passionate, innovative, and committed to our cause – if this sounds like something you’re interested and experienced in, we would love to hear from you!

Please note that we may shortlist and interview throughout the recruitment campaign, and we may close the job early if we receive a high number of applications.

For further detail of this role, please see the job profile.

The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Tuesday 17 September 2024

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in our work. We, therefore, apply rigorous recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only those who are suitable are recruited to work for us. Accordingly, appointment to all our roles is subject to a range of vetting checks and for this role this will include a Basic Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.

Plan International UK is committed to being an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds.
