Location: London (Remote options available)

Who we are

The Salvation Army (SA) are the UK’s biggest provider of social welfare after the government. Although founded under religious principles, they are not a religious charity, but an organisation dedicated to providing social welfare across the UK, unbound by geography, to those most in need.

Their range of fundraising is almost endless giving a huge scope to target organisations and crate bespoke proposals aligned to the charity’s values, opening the doors to significant, multi-year support.

About the role

The Senior New Business Manager is a new role created to focus on developing relationships with new corporate partners through careful pipeline building, lead generation and bespoke, strategic and well-crafted propositions. There is an emphasis at The Salvation Army to diversify income sources and corporate partnerships are an under-tapped income stream with huge growth potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out sector research to link potential corporate partners with specific projects and key programmes of focus for The Salvation Army.
  • Thinking strategically to build, maintain and develop a pipeline of corporate partners to ensure consistent engagement and income.
  • Build support cases, liaising with service delivery teams to access compelling case studies and relevant data to demonstrate impact and need.
  • Build relationships with corporate partners with a view toward significant and sustainable multi-year partnerships.
  • Constantly monitor and evaluate processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Line manage the Corporate Partnerships Assistant.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a new business expert who has the confidence to match their experience with the drive needed to work independently to achieve significant wins for the charity.

You will be creative, independent yet collaborative, and an adept relationship builder who can form long-lasting connections with corporate partners and internal colleagues with ease.

Suitable candidates will be highly motivated by their passion for social justice, the provision of social care and their desire to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged in our communities.
