Job description

Parkinson’s Connect is the formal referral pathway for people newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them. We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving the digital experience for users so that from the moment a person is diagnosed with Parkinson’s they can be connected to our support.

About the role

You’ll be working with teams across the charity and with NHS organisations to evolve, support, and develop Parkinson’s Connect for our community.

You’ll be responsible for developing and optimising the Parkinson’s Connect product, building strong, collaborative and effective working relationships which help to scale its use. You will collaborate with product teams, key stakeholders and subject matter experts within directorates to define and develop our strategy, aligning with our user needs and broader organisational strategies.

This position is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

What you will do

  • Evolve the strategy for Parkinson’s Connect, including designing and monitoring impact    measures and embedding a robust operating model.

  • Working closely with the NHS and internal colleagues to build networks and cultivate relationships which supports adoption and awareness of Parkinson’s Connect.

  • Collaborate with community, content, and user experience colleagues and other stakeholders to create a roadmap for the Parkinson’s Connect product which aligns with our organisation's goals.

  • Use user-centred design and data-driven decision-making to ensure product development is appropriately informed at every life cycle stage.

  • Work with other specialists, including project managers, business analysts and QA professionals, to ensure the product is developed in alignment with change projects, when applicable.

What you will bring

  • Experience of working in or alongside NHS and/or social care sector and confident navigating the regional complexities of the system

  • Demonstrable ability to understand and overcome organisational constraints to deliver a successful product or service

  • Experience in product management and agile practice

  • Experience in Product Delivery, including User Story Creation, Prioritisation and End User Testing 

  • An improvement and user-centred mindset and experience of using data and insight to evaluate impact
