Fundraising Manager

Remote
£36,000 per year
Part-time (4 days per week)
Temporary (6 month contract)
Job description

Parallel Histories is an educational charity which resources schools in the teaching of disputed history, ensuring analysis of competing narratives.

It offers a new way to study the history of conflict - history which is still contested, controversial and relevant.

We train teachers, organise debates and events and create educational resources.

Our teaching methodology challenges students to examine the source evidence and debate alternative interpretations before coming to their own view.

These are skills which not only help young people with the study of history, but also prepare them to become active citizens in healthy, pluralistic democracies and successful participants in the world of work.

We are seeking an interim Fundraising Manager.

The Fundraising Manager will:

  • seek to attract new funders through bid writing and initiating relationships,
  • manage existing corporate and foundation funders through relationships and write grant reports,
  • manage individual giving through the Big Give Christmas Challenge,
  • also manage our digital office: keeping all software up to date/managing logins/training on software/assisting with queries.

Start date as soon as possible.

To apply please send a CV and 1 page letter outlining why you are interested in the role and your suitability to perform this role of Fundraising Manager successfully.
