KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Support:

• Assist the Production Manager with mail specs, collating information, creating purchase orders, and related tasks.
• Support the Media Manager in arranging regional coverage for overseas staff in the UK.
• Provide support to the Head of Communications and other team members.
• General administrative duties. 

Scheduling and Planning:

• Update and maintain the print and digital communications schedule with audience managers.

Content Creation:

• Contribute to digital communications, including website content and social media.
• Assist in creating monthly print and digital communication documents.
• Support design tasks like picture editing and layout.
• Create subtitles for digital content.
• Participate in creative idea sessions.

Updates and Research:

• Monitor staff blogs for potential stories and produce a weekly social media roundup.
• Monitor external websites for relevant stories and brief teams.
• Provide research support as needed.

Media Library Management:

• Upload and remove media assets, ensuring accurate metadata and compliance.
• Support staff with acquiring and transferring assets from overseas programs.
• Improve the media library.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Highly Desirable Qualities:

• Communications or administration qualification
• Experience in a Christian organisation or charity environment

• Experience in a communications environment
• Proficient in video editing, Photoshop, and design software like InDesign

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Location: Hybrid role with two days at MAF UK, Folkestone, and one day at our Operations Centre, MAF International, Ashford. The remaining two days from home or you may work at the office.

Working Hours: Full-time role (36 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours occasionally outside normal business hours). Hours should be agreed with the line manager.

Annual Leave: 22 days per year plus 8 paid public holidays.

Pension Scheme: Non-contributory (10% of salary).

As the team’s Administrator you will provide administrative services in support of the Clinical Effectiveness team and wider Delivered Services. Working with the Head of Clinical Effectiveness and the Clinical Operations Support Manager, the postholder will support the day-to-day operational running of the various processes and procedures to enable safe and effective service delivery to beneficiaries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required.

You will manage booking systems, travel arrangements for the Delivered Services team, and maintain internal resources like webpages, Teams channels, and databases. Additionally, you’ll ensure timely documentation delivery for meetings and committees and be responsible for monitoring the team inbox.

The Role

Each day you will travel to different venues, set up an attractive fundraising stand, and spend the day actively engaging with members of the public, spreading awareness about our conservation efforts and inspiring individuals to become lifelong members. 

Don't worry if you're not a wildlife expert yet – you will be provided with comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need. Plus, you'll enjoy the added perk of a company van, with fuel and parking costs paid for.

What's even better? You'll have the flexibility to choose a contract between 3 to 5 days per week, and enjoy the stability of a set salary, rather than working on commission. Bereavement Support Practitioner
Hours: 30 hours per week
Rate: £33,072 per annum pro rata fixed term contract to 31 March 2025
Reporting to: Bereavement Support Team Lead for Glasgow Hospital Service
Base: NHS hospital sites across Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Child Bereavement UK’s Family Centre in Finnieston, Glasgow

In 2017 Child Bereavement UK was commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde with funding  from Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to provide bereavement support for families bereaved of  a baby or child, and training and support for hospital staff.

Child Bereavement UK is looking to recruit Bereavement Support Practitioners to join the Glasgow Hospital Service Team.  The team supports the Bereavement Support Team Lead in the provision and evaluation of a service that ensures families and professionals can access high quality bereavement support in situations where a baby or child has died or is dying, with specific responsibility for providing bereavement support in individual, couple and group settings, and assessing the needs of siblings. To contribute to the training and support of professionals whose roles bring them into contact with bereaved families.

Applicants should have a recognised, health, social care, or counselling qualification, experience in working with parents, children and families, excellent communication skills and be passionate about supporting bereaved families and those whose roles bring them into contact with these families.

The successful applicants will be required to complete a PVG check.
