Job description

This is a strategic role, supported by the Welsh Government focussed on collaboration with those  who have contact with people who have experienced loss including, community groups, GPs, midwives, and other NHS teams, and also strategically reaching out to all community groups, faith groupsand other communitites with protected characteristics to facilitate service provision to them

The post-holder will work with the Centre Manager and trustees to develop and deliver support and collaboration services:

• To network with key local contacts and represent the organisation at networking events both face to face and on-line.

• Be aware of and involved in local/national initiatives related to the organisation. In particular the ongoing development of Bereavement Pathways in N Wales.

• To strategically target and build partnerships in order to earn the trust to enable the provision of appropriate services to :-

churches and other faith groups including talks and presentations o meet with individuals and communities within BAMER, LGBTQ communities and develop literature in other languages o maintain contact with other groups with protected characteristics.

• To promote and build partnerships with local health professionals, councils, the voluntary sector and other external stakeholders and agencies / organisations e.g. undertakers.

• Continue to develop engagement with bereavement midwives and GPs and also with other NHS services e.g. School of nursing & midwifery and perinatal groups.

• To develop and regularly participate in communicating with supporters, stakeholders , donors and partners.

• To be responsible for marketing and promoting the charity in the community including working with social media manager and in the development of appropriate literature and other tools for information and monitoring. 

The post will be home and office based.
