We're looking for an Associate Head of Policy and Public Affairs to join us and help lead progress that truly matters. This is an exciting leadership opportunity within a high-performing team, offering a chance to lead a team working across a number of key policy areas including children protection and children's social care, early years, child sexual abuse, education, and support for young victims and witnesses of abuse.

In this key role, you'll work to make sure policy frameworks and laws are fit for purpose in preventing and tackling child abuse and neglect. As a passionate advocate for the NSPCC's mission, you'll lead a team of policy and public affairs specialists, ensuring the NSPCC remains a credible and authoritative voice on key issues. You will lead colleagues to deliver high-quality policy research and drive influencing strategies that create real change.

You'll need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, particularly in managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced policy environment. With excellent communication and advocacy abilities, you'll be confident engaging with senior internal stakeholders, government officials, and sector experts to influence decisions that protect children from harm.

This is a fixed-term role where you'll be stepping in for 12 months to cover a key leadership position while the post holder is on maternity leave.
