Our Careers Development Managers (CDMs) are the main point of contact for young people on our social mobility programmes. The main focus of the role is the recruitment, development and support of young people into meaningful careers.
CDMs create recruitment networks in their areas and lead bootcamps to improve their employability (e.g. interview techniques) and to enhance their personal and leadership abilities (e.g. critical thinking). Once young people are hired, CDMs use their established relationship to provide pastoral care and in-work support.
LTSB’s vision is A world where all young people can choose their careers, with an emphasis on improving the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The successful candidate will have a proven commitment to improving the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and they have an excellent understanding of social mobility, diversity and inclusion issues, and how these factors impact young people.
LTSB does not have its own offices, so you will work remotely, but this role has significant in-person delivery expectations at partner organisations and corporate supporters, as well as occasion travel to our city hubs Birmingham, Liverpool, London, and Manchester. Position will require DBS Disclosure at enhanced level.

The Direct Marketing Executive will be a key role within the Acquisition & Development Team, supporting the team and its activities as a whole, but also owning and becoming the expert in specific areas in line with the Fundraising Strategy. The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. About You
You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC
- Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work

- A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life

About You
You will be responsible for the effective line management of a dispersed community-based team and have experience managing co-designed/co-delivered community development initiatives. You will recognise the potential for growth and expansion within these communities and empower local people to exact changes focused on what’s important to them.
You will have a genuine professional commitment to ABCD informed delivery, possess the capacity to work collaboratively with others and pilot projects for new community development initiatives by identifying and creating viable plans for growth and expansion to increase reach, impact and accessibility across the AFC.

We’re looking for a qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (ROVI) to work for a charity offering a wide variety of services to vision-impaired people across Cheshire, Halton, and North Wales.

About the role:
As Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, you will identify, deliver and evaluate professional rehabilitation interventions to vision impaired people to enhance their skills and confidence to maximise their independence.
You will offer a person-centred, outcome-focused approach to rehabilitation, assisting individuals in identifying tangible goals, conducting evaluations, and creating a plan that will help them all reach their goals and satisfy their needs while lowering risks and lessening the effects of their Visual Impairment.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Carry out an initial conversation, in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act, to identify further actions, and risk factors, refer and signpost to the organisation’s wider services and other organisations to meet the individuals’ desired outcomes.
- Undertake specialist VI assessments with the person to identify their needs and aspirations to promote independent living.
- Agree a plan with the person about how their needs can be met, through other services, equipment and rehabilitation.
- Implement, evaluate and review rehabilitative services to the vision-impaired person aimed at maximising and maintaining independence, safety, dignity, and choice.
- Work with vision-impaired people who have additional complex needs.
- Provide statistical information to feed into quarterly contract monitoring reports.
- Enable the Local Authority to maintain their Partially Sighted/Sight Impaired and Blind/Severely Sight Impaired Registers.
Key skills required for this role:
- Foundation Degree in Rehabilitation Studies (Visual Impairment) or equivalent.
- Excellent planning and communication skills.
- Recognised rehabilitation work qualification (or currently working towards it).
- Proven experience in performing rehabilitation assessments with visually impaired people and providing mobility, communication and daily living skills training.
- Ability to deliver training/advice sessions to individuals or groups of service users, carers and other organisations.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Ability to travel and work in all areas of Flintshire and Wrexham.
- Be calm and deal sensitively with people and be open-minded to all cultures and ways of life.

We are looking for a fixed term Impact and Evaluation Manager to help us to develop an initial impact and evaluation framework for the organisation. Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, the aim is to be able to understand, evaluate and learn from our impacts and to track our organisational performance through appropriate data and metrics. It will build on an existing set of metrics that have been developed and provide the foundation for a longer term impact evaluation approach.
Role purpose:
Lead the development of an initial impact and evaluation framework that will help us to track our progress, demonstrate achievements and ensure accountability.
Your responsibilities will include:

Terms and conditions and staff benefits
This is a full time, fixed term role for an initial 9 month period, with the possibility of extension. The salary is £37,000 to £42,000 f.t.e depending on experience.

Project: Stricklandgate House 4 Sustainable Heritage: Where heritage meets the day-today
(SGH4SH).
Introduction
Stricklandgate House (SGH) is a Grade II listed Georgian Building, which has a fascinating,
varied history and heritage significant to Georgian Kendal. Stricklandgate House Trust (SGHT)
took over ownership of the building in 1998.
SGH operates as a centre for charitable and voluntary organisations for the area. SGH supports
and promotes the charitable and voluntary sector in the delivery of their services by providing
reasonably priced accommodation, common services, facilities, and support. SGHT also
provides counselling space and conference and meeting facilities.
SGHT are the stewards of the building and its heritage; responsible for preserving, enhancing,
and promoting the heritage of the building.
Project Overview
We have been successful with a stage one application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to
redevelop and enhance Stricklandgate House to become a heritage and community hub in
addition to strengthening is core business of supporting the third sector.
The reimagined building will feature exhibition space for heritage and culture, a community hub
in the centre of Kendal and a strengthened Third Sector hub. It will involve the redevelopment of
a modern annex that separates the Georgian town house from the historic Coach House and
will rediscover and enhance the Georgian features of the Town house, service wing and Coach
House.
The project will deliver a programme of heritage activities in collaboration with heritage
organisations and charities and encourage heritage engagement with underserved groups.
Heritage information and interpretation will feature on site and the building will be enabled to
move to net zero. We will provide engaging information and interpretation about the way in
which we have moved to net zero to inspire others and become an example of how a building of
heritage can be manged sustainably.
The community hub will deliver community facing activities and events in collaboration with
community organisations and local councils.
The project is summarised below in terms of outcomes and objectives:
• Outcome: An accessible, rich, valued, and sustainable heritage setting that strengthens
the charitable, voluntary and community sector in Kendal and Westmorland and Furness
in the delivery of their services.
o Objective 1: The conservation and interpretation of the built and historic heritage
of SGH, growing engagement, understanding, appreciation and value within our
local communities and with visitors.
o Objective 2: Increasing the supply of attractive, fit for purpose accommodation
and meeting space, flexible and affordable in use.

community activities and events.

Role Purpose
To manage the Stricklandgate House 4 Sustainable Heritage Project (SGH4SH).
Principal Activities
1. Responsible for project planning and project delivery.

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.
