About the role:
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and proactive person to join our team. You will be an integral part of business development, leading on developing partnerships internally and externally which will build a pipeline of opportunities. You will develop corporate fundraisers and events, locally and regionally, as well as being able to occasionally write and submit successful funding applications to a variety of funding sources where required. This role would suit someone who thrives in relationship management and securing successful new partnerships.
Flexible office locations with travel across the North East and Cumbria to visit partners and attend events alongside attendance on occasion at Newton Aycliffe office for team meetings.
About you:
- A proven new business track-record developing partnerships with public and corporate organisations across multiple sectors
- Experience of managing corporate fundraising partnerships, ideally from within the charity sector
- Experience of liaising effectively with colleagues and a wide variety of stakeholders
- Experience in developing and implementing ambitious sector strategies and producing tailored new partnership propositions that meet Groundwork objectives.
- Proven track record of corporate and community fundraising.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective proposal writing and correspondence to internal and external audiences.

Your role
We are seeking a Senior Fundraising Leader to secure funding from diverse sources to support our program and initiatives. The ideal candidate has senior-level fundraising experience at an NGO, organisation, or charity, a strong and established network of executive relationships in major foundations, and a proven track record of identifying and closing deals in the range of 1-5 million USD. The fundraising leader will develop relationships with potential donors, identify fundraising opportunities, and manage the grant application process.
We seek someone who aligns with the DfG mission, has a passion for fundraising and can strategise and deliver new initiatives. The fundraiser will collaborate with program staff, and senior management to develop leads, compelling proposals and reports. The working environment is informal, team-oriented, and encourages individual input and development. Thereby supporting the execution of DfG’s impact driven program to improve life through design. This position reports to the Managing Director of Design for Good.
Key Responsibilities
· Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective donors, program officers, and key stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for grant inquiries, reporting, and communications.
· Research: Identify and explore funding opportunities from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other potential donors whose interests align with our programs. Regularly monitor donor databases and other sources for announcements and opportunities.
· Applications & Fundraising Development: Lead the creation of high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry in collaboration with program staff, ensuring they are compelling, well-structured, and tailored to donor priorities.
· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all grants meet donor regulations, reporting requirements, and deadlines. Prepare and submit timely, accurate reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and financial impact.
· Monitoring and Evaluation: Track the success of fundraising efforts, monitor progress toward revenue goals, and use data analysis to identify trends and inform strategy, providing regular updates and insights.
· Events, Networking, and Representation: Organize fundraising events and oversee volunteer and partner teams. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and boost resource mobilization.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. Livingstone Tanzania Trust (LTT) was set up in 2007. Our vision is to live in a world where every young person has access to a quality education. Our mission is to work in partnership with communities in Tanzania to address the barriers that prevent young people from accessing the quality education they need to reach their full educational potential. To achieve this, we focus on infrastructure and resource programmes, developing teachers’ competencies and addressing issues surrounding household poverty.

In addition, as a charity, we aim to support our partners in Tanzania to reduce their dependence on us, which we achieve by building their skills to stand on their own feet. This requires us to share our knowledge and provide mentoring services as our partners grow
Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:
- Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
- Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.
Duties include:
- Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
- Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
- Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
- Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
- Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance
- Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
- Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
- Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
- Attend team meetings at least twice a year
- Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.

As Funding and Grants Manager you’ll secure, manage and develop relationships with our funders and partners. Your remit will include every aspect of the grant, funding and partnership lifecycle from developing new opportunities to reporting on live delivery and evaluating completed work.

The Trust is seeking an inspiring and ambitious professional with a proven track record in senior-level fundraising and the skills, passion and experience to lead the Trust into a position which results in voluntary income moving from £5M to £10M through delivery of step change strategies for Voluntary Income Generation and Communication. Candidates must be collaborative leaders with proven experience of leading and managing multi-disciplinary fundraising teams and in transformation and change. They will also have experience in influencing policy and decision making (governance) at a range of levels, as will be a strong networker and public speaker used to driving networking opportunities that evidence outcomes and impact.
