They will engage with decision makers in government, business, financial institutions, multi-lateral and network organisations, local and international NGOs, and the media to advance evidence-based solutions to the conjoined global crises of water, climate, nature and inequality.  In particular, they will play a key role in our Fair Water Footprints Campaign and the wider delivery of the Glasgow COP 26 Declaration.  With new funding from the UK Government’s Just Transitions for Water Security Programme, these game changing initiatives seek to end the abuse of water in our supply chains, and to establish responsible water stewardship as the global business norm by 2030 so that trade and business accelerate, rather than undermine, shared water security.  This will be achieved through mobilising the power of scientific evidence and citizen voices to trigger change in government policies, corporate practices, financial disclosure, and political and public expectations.  The choreography and delivery of this change will be a core focus of the successful candidate’s work.

We are keen for the post holder to be based at Water Witness’s Edinburgh offices where they will help to mentor and nurture the next generation of water leaders, though some flexibility may be considered. This role will involve travel within the UK and internationally. You will be joining a team of 4 which includes a Press and PR Lead, a part-time Press Officer, and a part-time Senior Press and PR Officer - both focussed on Fundraising and Brand PR, whilst you will be focussed on Policy and Research PR.

In this fast-paced role, you will work to build and maintain relationships with national, regional, and trade journalists to tell varied and compelling stories from one of the UK’s leading homelessness charities. There will be opportunities to speak to services and people with lived experience of homelessness to build timely PR on some of our core issues. With this role, you can also expect to: 

• Be part of a busy press office, with journalists contacting us on anything related to service visits to commentary on the Renters’ Rights Bill

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. About the role 

As a Lead Worker (Intensive Case Management), you will deliver intensive, person-centred, and holistic support to people who are disadvantaged and need significant support to end their homelessness. You will be collaborating with internal and external colleagues to meet people’s immediate, acute needs and to support them to start taking steps towards ending their homelessness.

We take a bold approach to supporting people and adapt our ways of working when needed to ensure that we are providing impactful, equitable service giving everyone a fair opportunity to receive the support they need. We help people to challenge barriers put up by the system. This is an incredibly varied role as you will offer practical support such as help to attend external appointments, open bank accounts, and obtain IDs, but you will also work closely with our internal clinical psychologists to help your members to recognise their strengths and build resilience.

About you 

• You have experience supporting people with complex trauma and multiple needs including mental health, physical health and substance misuse difficulties, a history of multiple exclusion and social isolation. 

• You have worked within a relevant sector which could include domestic violence, women’s services, migrants’ services, probation, or health services. 

• You have knowledge of relevant housing, homelessness, social care, and welfare legislation.

About You

We are looking for a strategic Director of Finance and Operations to lead our financial operations and ensure the organisation is equipped to meet its ambitious goals. As a key member of the senior executive team, you'll work closely with the Chief Executive, Executive Directors, and the Boards of both the Society and the College to drive financial sustainability and contribute to the future of radiography.

Essential Criteria:

You will be an accomplished finance leader with experience in charity and corporate governance, strategic planning, and support services management. A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPFA or equivalent) with a proven track record of guiding organisations through complex financial landscapes, within membership bodies or charities and ideally with knowledge of trade unions.

• Leadership Excellence: Experience in leading hybrid teams, driving performance, and motivating others to achieve organisational goals.
• Governance & Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in charity, trade union, company, and pensions legislation, with the ability to balance compliance with strategic vision.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate long-term goals into actionable plans and ensure their execution.
• Project Management: Experience delivering complex projects and managing resources efficiently.
• Collaborative Approach: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, influence decision-making, and foster partnerships.

The Social Media and Content Manager reports into the Senior Digital Manager and is part of the Public Fundraising and Engagement team. We are looking for someone who combines technical knowledge of social media with creativity and knowledge of best practice and upcoming trends. The Living Wage Foundation was launched in 2011 by Citizens UK to tackle in-work poverty and ensure that workers earn enough to live on and participate in family and community life. Citizens UK is the home of community organising with diverse civil society alliances set up to develop leaders to work on the issues that matter to them, such as the Living Wage. Other projects include PACT (Parents and the Community Together) and Sponsor Refugees to add depth to the impact of Citizens UK’s work.

The real Living Wage is an independently-calculated hourly rate based on the cost of living and announced each November during Living Wage Week, our annual celebration of a growing network of almost 12,000 Living Wage Employers.

The Living Wage Foundation celebrates employers that voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage through an accreditation scheme that recognises a long-term commitment to fair pay and has secured pay rises for 400,000 low paid workers. 

Purpose 

The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Project Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to build relationships with employers across the Living Wage network.

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving forward our Living Pension standard. The standard was launched in March 2023, t and is a voluntary savings target independently calculated to provide enough income to meet every day needs in retirement.

The ideal candidate would be a proactive and experienced project manager with outstanding communication skills and a track record of network building. We are looking for someone who will expand Living Pension and grow this new accreditation with Living Wage employers and raise awareness of the standard, particularly in the business community.

The role will also involve working with our programme team to increase their knowledge and skills in the Living Pensions standard, enabling them to generate leads and deliver support and guidance to employers looking to implement a Living Pension for their workforce.

The Living Wage Foundation has grown significantly and continues to evolve its offer to employers. There will be opportunities in this role to get involved in other areas of work and projects aimed at mobilising employers to tackle poverty and deliver change in the UK and globally.

Citizens UK & Living Pension Strategy 

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the purpose of the Living Pension, Living Wage Foundation, and the core mission of CUK

• Reliably implement CUK’s policies, procedures & values in the delivery of projects 

Project Management 

• Build, manage and grow Living Pension to scale, growing the number of employers offering a Living Pension alongside the real Living Wage
