The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (Youth and Children’s Bands) is the UK’s leading brass band for children and teenagers.
The Band exists to give exceptionally gifted young brass and percussion instrumentalists the opportunity to perform advanced music and receive the highest quality teaching, care and help to provide the brass band movement and the music profession with the next generation of brass players. Not only does the Band provide talented youngsters with opportunities to play brass music to the highest standard, but also to improve their musicianship and musical horizons.
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the Band’s audience development and stakeholder engagement strategy so that we can meet the goals of our strategic plan.
The role will involve developing strategic communications, in order to raise public awareness of the Band’s work to support and market its courses and concerts as well as supporting fund raising for the organisation.

Responsible to: Director
Salary: £27,344 FTE (Scale 6, point 18)
Actual Salary: £14,583.47 (20 hours pro rata)
Hours: Part time 20 hours (over 3 days per week) may include evenings
Holidays: 24 days pro rata per year plus public holidays
Pension: 5% employer + 3% employee
Fixed term contract: 12 months from date of start, continuation subject to funding.
Main purpose of the post:
• To work with the Director and SLDAS Board of Trustees on the delivery of the charity's Communications strategy as we look to grow our portfolio and engagement with supporters.
• This role will develop online and offline communications to maximise digital, marketing and media opportunities; in line with SLDAS Communications Strategy, Objectives and wider strategic objectives.
• This is a role that offers you real scope, challenge and reward and the chance to contribute and enhance an organisation supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
