You'll support the team to help drive engagement and reach on social media to increase awareness of our work. You'll have a passion for storytelling, whilst utilising your written communication skills to tailor compelling messages for our different audiences, ensuring we are engaging our audiences in the most effective way.
You'll have a creative eye and knowledge about different formats that can be used to tell our story, from videos and images to graphics. You'll manage our social media channels – Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram – on a daily basis. You'll develop a wide range of digital content aimed at engaging our primary audiences of autistic children and young people and their families through online channels.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in marketing or communications.
- Understanding and experience of using social media and online communication platforms in a professional capacity.
- Experience of writing and generating high quality social media content.
- Experience in delivering successful paid social media campaigns.

This is an income generating role with sales targets for BeyondAutism’s Outreach Services – BeyondAutism Fast Responder®, Outreach and Training. The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will drive policy change to increase surplus food redistribution by engaging with stakeholders across government, media, industry, and academia. They will support FareShare’s public affairs strategy by producing well-researched briefings, organizing impactful events, and fostering relationships with key partners.

The role will sit within FareShare’s public affairs—part of the wider marcomms team—which is responsible for advocating for policies that create an economic and legislative environment that is beneficial for surplus food redistribution. This will help FareShare achieve its long-term goals of redistributing a higher proportion of the UK’s surplus food and benefiting more communities across the UK.

The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will be critical in advancing FareShare’s policy agenda, as outlined in the manifesto. Working closely with the Public Affairs, Policy and Campaigns Consultant, you will lead efforts to engage influential stakeholders, create compelling content, and coordinate high-impact events. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence national policy and contribute to meaningful change in the food redistribution sector.
Key responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, media, and academia, to advance FareShare’s policy objectives.
Policy, Research, and Briefings: Develop in-depth policy knowledge and produce well-researched briefings and reports articulating FareShare’s policy goals. Identify opportunities for FareShare to feed into Government consultations and Select Committees.

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your role will be to jointly support our team in leading our educational programmes, the Harris Experience (HE) and Harris Experience Advanced (HEA), which are already in place from Year 9 through to Year 13. About the role
We want to reach and support more people with heart and circulatory conditions, helping them to feel informed, empowered and understood.
You’ll play a key role in doing this, using analytics to evaluate, analyse and plan content; developing and improving user journeys; and producing new content that meets users’ needs.
You will help shape and drive the user-centred digital content of the Health Content Team, working closely with colleagues across the BHF, in particular in insights, digital products, UX and CRO, and marketing and communications.

Working arrangements
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, covering a sabbatical.

The Membership Marketing Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Membership and Supporter Experience Team by providing administrative support as well as a bit of creative marketing flair. - Support our key marketing projects including gift membership, private site, telemarketing, our annual member survey and renewal journey.
- Support the distribution and creation of promotional resources, regularly checking stock levels, and re-ordering or refreshing materials as needed, liaising with external suppliers such as print or mailing houses and delivering to budgets and deadline.
- Support the creation of e-communications, including emails to prospective members. This may include proofing content, sourcing images, checking data, building emails and reviewing content requests with support from the team.
- Provide regular impact communications and surprise and delight moments to our suppliers and fundraisers acting on our behalf
- Source inspirational stories from our walking groups and volunteers, to help support growth of our membership community.
- Check data from our Data Team and from our suppliers to ensure it is accurate and in the right format. Provide data as needed to suppliers.
- Co-ordinate across teams to ensure data is provided in a timely fashion
- Check data is lasered correctly on printed materials, raising any concerns appropriately with suppliers
- Coordinate call listening for our core calling programmes, liaising with our volunteers and providing summary of feedback to our suppliers.
