Marie Curie is the UK's leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world

where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they're likely to die from.

Your role in our mission…..


To ensure we can continue our important work, our Fundraising team are incredibly important. Since the pandemic, fundraising at Marie Curie has been through a lot of change. However, the organisation recognises the importance of our activity within communities across the UK and community fundraising has been invested in. It's an incredibly exciting time to join the team. We have a lot of ambition and just need the right people to join us who can help us realise that.


Our Fundraising Assistants are often the first contact families using our services have with the fundraising side of the charity and as such hold the key to starting off amazing relationships with potential fundraisers.


Key Accountabilities:
- Record, bank, and process income according to Marie Curie policies.
- Maintain accurate financial and supporter records.
- Comply with Marie Curie policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Provide administrative support for core fundraising activities.
- Provide administrative support to the Fundraising team.
- Event Coordination and Public Fundraising Support
- Support the team by making welcome and stewardship calls.
- Use the fundraising database to manage and develop supporter relationships.
- Provide stewardship to "Fundraising My Way" participants, local groups, third-party event organizers, and trekkers.
- Collaborate with Community Fundraisers to identify partnership and funding opportunities.
- Organise and book collection sites and permits.
- Contact volunteer collectors and distribute collection materials.
- Ensure all records and follow-up actions with volunteers and collection sites are completed.


Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent people and customer service skills
- Understanding of general office systems and procedures
- Able to engage with supporters and families in support of their fundraising activities
