We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they're likely to die from.
The Analysis, Insights & Selections team plays a crucial role in supporting the charity's fundraising efforts. We collaborate across the entire Fundraising department to develop and implement an integrated strategy that prioritizes our supporters. This strategy will be driven by data and insights.
Data and insights are essential for guiding decision-making within both Fundraising and the wider Marie Curie organization. The Data Analyst position is a key part of this team, providing vital analysis and reporting to the Fundraising Directorate.
In this role, the Data Analyst will focus heavily on tactical and day-to-day activities, such as maintaining and enhancing existing Power BI reports, creating new ones, running and updating regular reports, and assisting with new insight requests. Advanced Excel skills are required, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and techniques.







Key Criteria:

Excellent IT skills, including a good working knowledge in database modelling, analysis development and implementation


Experience of working with medium to large fundraising marketing database such as Advanced CARE

Good knowledge of Faststats, PeopleStage and SQL and of producing data selections to maximise returns

Ability to manage own time and prioritise to deliver results within agreed timescales

Has the ability to work effectively under pressure

Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at different levels in a professional manner.
