Volunteer Facilitator - L'Arche Liverpool
 
ABOUT THE ROLE

Hours of work: 15 hours per week flexibly (including evenings/weekends to meet new volunteers)
Salary: £26,280.80 per annum, pro rata (£10,512.32 for 15 hours)
Place of work:  The Ark Workshop, Lockerby Road, Liverpool
Contract type: 1 year fixed term contract due to funding

Main purpose of the role:

The Volunteer Facilitator will provide effective coordination, administration and support to volunteers including recruitment and orientation. You will link with local groups and volunteer networks to promote opportunities within L'Arche. The Volunteer Facilitator will be creative in the identification and development of roles that use volunteers' skills to bring friendship and other benefits to the Community.

Key essential criteria
 

  • Knowledge of social care organisations, the third sector and issues facing adults with learning disabilities;
  • Experience of volunteering (ideally within the social car sector) and volunteer management or HR or coaching;
  • Experience of maintaining databases: accurately recording information, reporting and identifying errors in data;
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint); 
  • Supportive and enthusiastic about working with an organisation which is both a high quality service provider and an ecumenical Christian community open to people of all faiths and none;
  • Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload on a daily basis and be accountable for the delivery of own workload;
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS record check;
