Are you a finance professional with a passion for making a difference? Justice & Care is seeking an experienced Programme Finance Lead to drive and manage the financial processes that support our global efforts to combat modern slavery.

About Us

Justice & Care is an international anti-slavery organization dedicated to addressing slavery and human trafficking, providing vital support to victims, dismantling criminal networks, and advocating for systemic change. We work closely with policy makers, governments, and other key stakeholders to protect communities and bring perpetrators to justice.

Position: Programme Finance Lead

Location: London (Hybrid) or Fully Remote with occasional travel to London

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible working options available)

Why This Role?

As the Programme Finance Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in our exciting new ten-year strategy, overseeing financial management for international projects funded by the US State Department and UK Government. You’ll also lead the UK audit process, manage income and expenditure forecasting, and support strategic decision-making through regular financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with country finance leads and programme teams to develop and manage budgets for funding proposals, including full cost recovery.
  • Monitor programme spend against budget, advising on financial and compliance decisions.
  • Lead on project management of the UK audit process and ensure financial compliance on restricted grants.
  • Deliver regular funder income and expenditure forecasting, supporting strategic decision-making with financial insights.
  • Act as the finance point of contact for the UK team, managing queries and fostering strong relationships with budget holders.

  • Highly Numerate: Ability to produce, manage, and interpret budgets and financial data.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, especially in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Team Player: Passionate about working as part of a global team with excellent communication skills.
  • Self-Starter: Motivated, adaptable, and able to take the initiative in a fast-paced environment.
