Treasurer (Trustee) - Pembroke College Settlement
Are you interested in joining a thriving community working towards social change? We are looking for a qualified accountant to join our board at a pivotal moment as we launch our long-term priorities.
Who we are
Pembroke House is a busy charity in Walworth, south east London established in 1885 by students from Pembroke College, Cambridge. We build stronger communities, tackle poverty, improve health and reduce loneliness and isolation. We see social connection as the key driver for social change, with individuals, organisations and communities working in genuine partnership. Last year we worked with 1,700 local residents and over 40 local organisations.
The role
We are recruiting a Treasurer to join us at Pembroke House, a charity and social action centre dedicated to making a positive impact in our Walworth, south east London community. As a key member of the board, you will oversee and guide our financial strategy and provide strategic advice to support the charity’s growth and mission.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong financial management skills and a commitment to social change. Like many other charities, we are battling a challenging financial context but we continue to work with our community, partners and donors to build a sustainable financial future.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial leader to join our board of trustees. You will be steering us through this pivotal moment as we set out to launch our long-term, sustainable and strategic priorities.
We are especially seeking applications from women, people from global majority backgrounds, and those based locally in Walworth.
If you’re ready to use your experience to drive meaningful change in our diverse community, we would love to hear from you!
