Who we are.

The MCS Charitable Foundation, founded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), today operates as an independent charity nationwide and is at the forefront of efforts to address climate change.

We are working for a carbon-free future for heat and energy and acting as a catalyst for change. Our goal is to make every UK home—old or new—carbon-free, with energy that’s effective, efficient, and affordable. This means examining both the renewable energy technology in our homes and the energy sources that supply them.

Who we are looking for.

We seek Trustees who share our values, keen on contributing to the forefront of decarbonisation efforts in the UK and bringing their strategic skills and experience to an organisation working to overcome the many practical challenges of making net-zero emissions in homes and buildings a reality.

We are looking for three new Trustees with senior-level experience with expertise in the following areas:

•  Public Policy 
•  Renewables Expertise and Vision 
• Commercial within the trades that MCS uses 

All Trustees are also Ambassadors for the Charity externally. Looking ahead, we also welcome interest from individuals with experience who may have a future interest in becoming a Chair when the term of our current chair concludes.
