Fundraising Officer

Prospectus are excited to be working with our client to help them recruit for a Fundraising officer to join their UK team. The charity is a dynamic, award-winning organisation promoting a radically different approach to aid and development in the WASH sector. By establishing Malawi’s first social impact business focused on delivering reliable access to clean water for rural communities, they challenge conventional development programmes. Their business-based approach ensures long-term sustainability and impact for the communities we serve. Access to clean water improves health, enhances educational opportunities, and reduces gender inequality across Malawi.

The role is offered on a permanent full-time basis with a salary of £25,000 to £28,000 per annum with a flexible hybrid working or remote working options between home and their London office.  

The post holder will help deliver on their ambitious goal of reaching 2 million people by 2030. This role is critical to the success of their fundraising strategy, focusing on income generation, donor stewardship, and the efficient management of administrative systems. They will lead on defined elements of the organisation's fundraising strategy: scoping, applications, reporting and management (to largely small sized trusts and foundations, community funders and individuals).

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of fundraising within the charity sector, including prospect research, proposal writing, and donor reporting. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking donations and donor engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, organisational skills, and the ability to maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, while also contributing to increasing the visibility and reach of the organisation's mission.
