Job description

Do you love animals? Got a knack for social media? Join us and help Glasgow Pet Collective grow its online community!

Who are we?
Glasgow Pet Collective (GPC) is a community-driven initiative dedicated to improving the lives of pets and the people who care for them. Our mission is to support animal welfare, connect pet owners with resources, and a Glasgow where every pet and their human companion thrive together in a nurturing and inclusive community, championing the joy of companionship and mutual care.

Our vision is to see a city where every pet has the care and love they deserve, and every pet owner has access to the knowledge, resources, and community they need to provide it.

What’s the role?
We’re looking for a creative and social media-savvy volunteer to dedicate 3-5 hours a week to help us build our online presence and engage with our audience across:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn
  • TikTok

You’ll help by:

  • Creating and editing fun, engaging, and impactful content (posts, reels, updates, etc.).
  • Growing our follower base and boosting engagement.
  • Sharing our mission, programs, and resources to connect with the local community.

What we’d love from you:

  • A passion for animals and an interest in their welfare.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media platforms (bonus if you can produce or edit multimedia content).
  • Some connection to Glasgow – whether you live in or around the city or have a strong tie to the area.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and reliability.

The details:

  • This is an unpaid volunteer role, though we’ll cover reasonable expenses.
  • Flexible hours – work when it suits you!
  • The role is fully remote, but being Glasgow-based helps you stay connected to our mission and community.

Why join us?

  • Be part of a caring, animal-loving team making a real impact in Glasgow.
  • Gain valuable experience in social media, marketing, and community engagement.
  • Support a meaningful cause while building connections with like-minded individuals.

Interested?
We’d love to hear from you! Apply now, providing us with a bit about yourself, your social media experience, and why you’d be a great fit for GPC.

Together, let’s be here for Glasgow’s pets & their people!
