Last year 786,574 people were offered information and support from Victim Support. As a Service Delivery Volunteer you will provide specialist support services for people affected by crime.

Volunteering with Victim Support in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent
As a Volunteer in Staffordshire/Stoke-on-Trent your role will include:
Volunteering within the Domestic Abuse team, this role is available within the adult’s team. The role could include co-facilitating Domestic Abuse Awareness programmes both online and face-to-face. This role will help you to increase your communication skills, record keeping, safeguarding and your knowledge around Domestic Abuse. You will also increase your skills in using online platforms to co-deliver training. You will have the opportunity to meet other volunteers locally in our quarterly meetings and have the option to engage in community events to promote our services.
What do we ask of you?
In order to join us as a Service Delivery Volunteer, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over.
- Be able to volunteer for at least 3 hours per week, for at least 12 months.
- Undertake training over a 12-week period – this includes ten virtual training days as well as completing online learning modules (approximately 35 hours)
- Undertake a DBS check & be part of the DBS update service.
- Undertake a Police Vetting check
- Be able to provide two satisfactory references.
Expenses
- All Victim Support volunteers are entitled to out-of-pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering, including travel and lunch.
