Would you like the chance to support our Chefs to maintain the smooth running of the hospice kitchen? Volunteer to join our friendly kitchen team! You’ll help to serve meals to the children, young people and families who access our care. You’ll also help with tasks like setting tables, pot washing and basic food preparation.

You might find this role suits you if:

- You enjoy being in the busy kitchen environment, or want to try this for the first time

- You want to meet new people or gain experience for your CV

- You want to do a role that makes a difference. Being looked after and well fed is an important part of the service we offer to families who need us, your volunteering role is a big part of the day to day running of the hospice.

“The kitchen is a very happy and busy workplace. John and his team are very appreciative of my hard work, and we have friendly banter whilst singing badly to the tunes on the radio. Volunteers are entitled to a free meal which is greatly appreciated.”- Jean, Kitchen Volunteer
