What’s the role and its impact?
As a content writer, you’ll play a vital role in updating and enhancing the profiles of veterans in our archive. Your work will ensure that each veteran’s story is not only engaging and informative but also accessible and searchable. With nearly 700 veterans in our collection, your contributions will be instrumental in preserving this important history for generations to come.
What you’ll be working on:
- Research veterans in the archive using transcripts, current descriptions and interview footage.
- Create cohesive, engaging veteran profile descrptions that are accessible and searchable.
- Collaborate with a supportive volunteer team, under the guidance of WordPress experts.
This volunteer opportunity is for you if:
- You have strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
- You’re interested in history, military stories, or oral histories.
- You can work independently and manage your time effectively.
- You’re willing to learn (WordPress experience is a plus, but not essential—full training is provided).
