Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst & Partnerships Manager to track the performance of social media campaigns, analyse content effectiveness, and manage collaborations with influencers, Islamic student organisations, and relevant partners for a Roots Instructor’s social media accounts. The ideal candidate will use data to optimise strategies, report on key metrics, and forge partnerships that expand the reach and influence of the Islamic speaker.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
- Track social media performance across all platforms, using insights from Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and analytics tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite).
- Monitor key performance metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, video views, and post reach.
- Analyse the effectiveness of campaigns, content types, and hashtags to inform future strategy adjustments.
- Produce monthly performance reports to highlight growth, trends, and areas for improvement.
SEO & Hashtag Optimization:
- Optimise the use of keywords, hashtags, and video tags to increase discoverability on search engines and social platforms.
- Use A/B testing to determine the most effective headlines, tags, and keywords for content visibility.
Partnership Development:
- Identify and reach out to potential collaboration partners, such as Islamic influencers, university ISOCs (Islamic societies), or other Muslim organisations.
- Develop and manage partnerships, coordinating joint content, contests, or events to increase engagement and reach.
- Oversee cross-promotion strategies, working with partners to promote content across different platforms.
Strategic Adjustments:
- Make data-driven recommendations for content adjustments based on trends and performance analysis.
- Identify opportunities for growth and optimization, such as shifting posting times, content formats, or collaboration strategies.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in data analysis, especially related to social media metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, follower growth).
- Strong proficiency with analytics tools and the ability to create actionable reports.
- Familiarity with SEO, hashtag optimization, and keyword strategies for social platforms.
- Excellent networking and partnership development skills, with experience managing collaborations.
- Knowledge of Islamic values and university culture is an asset.

- Improved content performance based on data-driven strategy adjustments.
- Increase in successful partnerships with Islamic influencers and organisations.
- Growth in organic reach and discoverability through optimised hashtags and SEO.
