About the role

Do you want to use your communications and marketing skills to help support people with mental health? Do you want to help tell our story to raise awareness of our work? If so, this could be a great role for you!

Join our team and help us drive our new three-year strategy forward, enhancing our communications and raising our voice externally as the largest mental charity in Hampshire. This role will play a key part in ensuring impact of our cause with content campaigns that put high-quality visuals and storytelling at the forefront of our communications to help strengthening engagement with our various audiences.

The Content and marketing officer’s role is to research, develop and create engaging and accessible content for Solent Mind’s audiences. Working closely with the Communications and marketing lead and our wider teams in the delivery of day-to-day content, communications, and marketing activities, including but not limited to website, video, digital, events, social media and print. You will help manage shared inboxes/workflow, while ensuring all communications and marketing outputs align with the brand's guidelines, tone of voice and values.

You will be working within a small, friendly and supportive team and will be joining at an exciting time when we are developing our marketing and communications strategy and you will get a chance to make your mark and help shape our digital strategy.  

About you            

You will need a background in communications and marketing, demonstrated through your expertise in previous professional roles. The ability to showcase your expertise in writing and producing engaging content across on and offline channels, brand management and experience in stakeholder engagement is essential. You will bring your creative skills and the ability to proactively build relationships across the organisation. Strong organisational skills, including effective time management and the ability to handle competing priorities, are important. Your experience or understanding of mental health needs would be beneficial.
