Chair of Trustees

Hebden Bridge Arts is seeking a visionary Chair of Trustees to lead its board into a bold new chapter. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a grassroots arts organisation that’s embedded in its local landscape and community.

With a 30-year history of ambitious, community-driven projects – including 2024’s acclaimed The Man Who Planted Trees – HBA is reimagining its future in a challenging cultural climate. As Chair, you’ll guide strategic direction, strengthen governance, champion diversity, and act as a passionate ambassador for the power of the arts to transform lives.

We welcome applications from experienced leaders with a love for inclusive, creative expression and community engagement. Co-Chair applications are also encouraged.

Location: Calderdale (with hybrid flexibility)
Time Commitment: ~2 days/month | Deadline: Noon, 30 April 2025
Term: 3 years (minimum 2-year commitment) | Voluntary role (expenses covered)
