Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have a knack for numbers and a commitment to excellent financial stewardship?

If so, our new community-based charity, SUNSHINE, is seeking a dedicated and experienced volunteer to join us as our Treasurer and Finance Director. Our mission is to make a significant impact on the lives of people aged 18 and above who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation in London, with plans to expand beyond the London area.

Role Overview:

As the Treasurer and Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in helping us establish and develop SUNSHINE as a fully operational charity. Your expertise in finance and governance will be essential in ensuring the charity’s financial health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial management of the charity, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance requirements related to finances.

  • Provide financial guidance to fellow Trustees and the Founder to support strategic decision-making.

  • Establish and implement robust financial systems, processes, and controls.

  • Act as the main point of contact for all financial matters, including fundraising oversight and resource allocation, dealing with financial matters with the Charity Commission, HMRC and our Banks.
