Job description

Stella Maris is looking for a Regional Port Chaplain to support seafarers and fishers, ensuring their pastoral, spiritual, and welfare needs are met. As the face of Stella Maris in the port, you will visit ships, advocate for crew members, and offer essential welfare services such as transport and crisis assistance.

The successful candidate will be vital in recruiting and training volunteers, working closely with local parishes and dioceses, and building strong relationships with port authorities, maritime agencies, and ecumenical partners. This role is perfect for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to justice and dignity for all seafarers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the world’s largest ship-visiting network, making a real difference to the lives of those working at sea.
