Assistant Financial Accountant

Location: Hybrid either Kings Cross, London or Peterborough

Salary: C£33,000 per year

RNIB, the UK's leading sight loss charity, are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to assist in the preparation of annual accounts for RNIB Group. This is a technical role, involving the preparation of the Financial Accounting data for RNIB Group and also providing transactional support to enable stakeholder engagement. The postholder will manage and assist in the monthly reconciliation, preparation, and monitoring process. 
To be considered, you'll need to be AAT qualified or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

You'll also need to meet this criteria:

• Experience of working in an accounting environment to include financial accounting procedures and financial practices for both income and expenditure transactions. 
• Given technical nature of role this would be suitable for someone with strong Financial Accounting skills making their first move out of Practice.  
• Significant experience in preparing and performing balance sheet reconciliations. 
• Experience in month end processes, ledger management and creation and posting of routine journal entries. 
• Intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel and ideally experienced in use of ERP systems, such as Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
