Job description

At My Sisters’ House Women’s Centre (MSH), we create real, lasting change for the women and communities we serve every day.

Our trustees form the backbone of the charity. As a new trustee, you would join an inspiring team of women committed to making a difference and driving meaningful change.

Each trustee brings valuable experience, insight, and expertise, helping to guide and support our work. Together, our dedicated staff and volunteers empower women to live courageously - knowing their worth and free from abuse, violence, and fear.

We are incredibly proud of the impact we make. If you share our passion and want to be part of our journey, we would love to hear from you.

We remain committed to creating a strong skillset at Board level and would be particularly interested in women with expertise in the following areas: HR, Legal, Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, Health and Safety, and Premises Management.

Becoming a trustee is a rewarding but important commitment. The MSH Board meets quarterly in the evening, with meetings lasting up to two hours. Trustees are expected to review Board papers in advance and come prepared for discussion and decision-making. In addition, each trustee is asked to join one of our MSH Committees, which meet every six weeks, usually during the day, for a maximum of two hours.

Please take a look at the accompanying role description and information. If you would like to find out more or apply, we would love to hear from you.
